Situated on the northern edge of the Olympic Peninsula, Port Angeles is a small town that offers big opportunities for fun and adventure. It’s here you’ll find the Olympic National Park Visitor Center, the starting place for so many explorations of the much-visited forest—one of the most spectacular temperate rain forests within the mainland United States. There are less well-known parks and public spaces here too, though, like the Ediz Hook Reservation for Native Birds, which is home to rocky beaches and habitat for many species of wildlife and provides unbeatable views of the water and nearby Vancouver Island.
While there are almost endless options for hikes and other outdoor exploits, Port Angeles is an attractive place to live for many other reasons. The average sale price here as of June 2020 is under $300K—well below the average home price in King County, just across the Puget Sound—making Port Angeles an affordable, as well as a beautiful, community to call home.
